Details of the Event:
The School of Environment Architecture and Design has Academic orientation programme for the students of ( 1st yr B.Arch and B.Des)
The event began with a warm address by the Prof. V. Aravind DEAN I/C who highlighted the vision and values of the institution. The Prof. M. Lokesh VP(Admin) SEAD motivated students to embrace discipline and creativity as key aspects of their academic journey.
- The Academic Head (Prof. M. Shanthini) introduced the curriculum structure, faculty, and academic opportunities awaiting the The programme served as a platform to familiarize students with the campus environment, academic culture, and future prospects, marking the beginning of their journey at SRM SEAD with enthusiasm and inspiration.
- A special address was delivered by admission coordinator (Prof. Shobhana Suresh), who inspired the students with her words of encouragement and guidance. She emphasized the importance of dedication, creativity, and a positive mindset in shaping their journey at SRM SEAD, motivating the freshers to make the best use of the opportunities ahead
- Finally, the Vote of Thanks was delivered by (Prof. V. Vijaysree), who expressed gratitude to the Dean, Vice President (Admin), Academic Head, faculty members, and students for their presence and active She acknowledged the efforts taken to make the Orientation Programme meaningful and inspiring, and warmly encouraged the new students to carry forward the spirit of learning and creativity as they begin their journey at SRM SEAD.

- For SDG 4 (Quality Education), the vertical studio fosters inclusive, hands-on learning by integrating students from different academic levels, enhancing peer-to-peer knowledge exchange and critical thinking in architectural design.
