Attending an International conference is a professionally rewarding experience in addition to connecting with people in the industry and getting new insights. International conference “Visionary Action towards Livable Urban EnvironmentsVALUE – 2020” organised by VIT, Vellore on 20th& 21st Feb 2020 emphasized how intrinsically liveability is linked to spatial qualities, social inclusion, the economy, health and well-being and sustainable technologies. The conference was sessioned by eminent academicians and industry professionals like Dr. Marc Aurel Schnabel and Ar.Hans-Christian Wilhelm, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, Dr. Sandeep Agrawal, Ar. Abraham George, IIT, Roorkee &V. Devadas, IIT, Kharagpur
Ar. G.Sudha, Associate Professor presented her findings on ‘Optimisation of Building envelope towards Energy efficient design’ where she discussed about the contribution of various envelope elements towards reduced energy consumption.
Ar.K.Madhivadhani, Assistant Professor presented her study on ‘Sustainable city Intercellular approach – Study of Urban fabric pattern, Chennai’ where she proposed a new regional planning approach towardsa sustainable city development.
