Seminar on Acoustics – Insulation & Detailing
On 11th November 2024, the School of Environment Architecture and Design (SEAD) at SRMIST, Ramapuram, organized a seminar on Acoustics – Insulation & Detailing at the SEAD Block Computer Lab. The session was attended by 74 participants, including 3rd-year B.Arch and B.Design students, and was presented by Dr. Kalaiselvi R.
Dr. Kalaiselvi provided an engaging and insightful lecture, introducing various acoustic materials, their properties, and practical applications. The session highlighted effective combinations of materials for insulation, supported by hands-on exposure where students could examine textures and densities. Detailed sketches, material sections, and a comprehensive presentation further illustrated construction techniques and acoustic detailing, offering valuable knowledge for architectural design practices.
